Due to continued growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for two experienced Assistant accountant to assist the finance team with the following, if you are interested, please email nicole to nicole@nicoleaccounting.com.au Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Position Description Job title: Assistant Accountant Reporting to: Finance Manager Department: Finance Employment:Permanent - Full time Location: Sydney Purpose of the position The purpose of this role is to handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, BAS reconciliations, fixed asset, progress claim and assist with the finance manager with monthly reporting. Key Accountabilities • Calculating employee wages, deductions, and process payroll transactions
• Issuing payslips
• Preparing annual PAYG summary for companies and employees
• Arrange Worker’s Compensation insurance
• Bookkeeping and coordination with external accountants
• Bank reconciliation
• GST reconciliation
• Intercompany loan reconciliation
• Fixed asset record keeping and depreciation
• Progress claim invoicing for construction and project management jobs
• Coordinate with financiers in regards to loan drawdowns
• Month end reporting and journal entries
• Other tasks as required

Essential Requirements • Tertiary qualification in Accounting and at least 2years’ experience working in a similar role
• Proficient in Microsoft outlook, Word, Excel
• Proven record to handle a high volume of invoices and related enquires
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team
• Proficient in MYOB
Desirable Requirements • Experience using CHEOPS
• Experience in the construction or property industry
