Assistant Accountant - North Sydney

My client, a global organisation which has a strong presence in Asia Pacific is currently looking for a technically strong Accountant to join their team for a 3 month contract, immediate start. My client has built a reputation for excellence with a team of high achievers. The right candidate will have solid accounting knowledge and techniquees (2- years auditing  experience highly prefe and will be immediately available.
Reporting to the team leader working across multiple entities across Asia Pacific you will be responsible for:

• Responsible for day-to-day accounting activities including ad-hoc reports requested by various stakeholders
• Month end processes including journals and account reconciliations
• Monthly management reporting
• Monthly Aust & NZ Corporate Profit and Loss review and variance analysis
• Assist with consolidation and analysis of the regional APAC annual
• Collation & review of APAC Profit and Loss commentary prepared by regional accountants
• Intercompany transactions (APAC)
• Maintain general ledger -Monthly reconciliations
• Preparation and completion of monthly management accounts
  

The Ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Experience in a similar role
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, V Look-ups)
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a multi-faceted environment managing the accounts of multiple entities
• High resilience to adapt to this fast paced and challenging environment
• Quick learner and highly adaptable to a changing and fast paced environment
