JOBDESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Assistant Accountant

JOB TYPE: Permanent Full time

LOCATION: City, Sydney NSW

Salary Package : $50000- 55000 plus Super

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Preparation/update of daily & monthly cashfow forecasts.

·        Production of weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.

·        Maintaining sales & purchase register

·        Preparation of BAS and IAS

·        Collation of quarterly assets valuations and intercompany

·        Collation of annual tax information.

·        Maintaining Share Investment Register and FixedAsset Register

·        Assist in month-end procedures.

·        Assist in preparation of consolidated managementaccounts.

·        Assist in preparation of statutory financialreports

·        Assist in audit processes as required

·        Various ad-hoc tasks.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

·        Postgraduate Degree in Accounting

·        Previous accounting experience preferable

·        Strong knowledge of tax law and accountingprinciples and practices

·        Have excellent command of the English language,both written and spoken

·        Ability to work to deadlines

·        Proficiency in Excel essential

·        MYOB experience preferred

·        Have quick and accurate data entry

·        Ability to work in a team environment
