Strong system skills with advance excel skills (Pivot table, V-lookup, if analysis etc).
Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and accounting principles.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with both finance and operational staff.
Highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
Good understanding of business process and internal controls related to accounting functions.
Minimum 4-5 years financial accounting experience.
Duties and Responsibility
The role of the Accountant is to ensure financial processes and systems are managed and maintained, focusing on the preparation and validation of statutory and management reports. You will be a key member of the large finance team.
Your role is to assume responsibility for the day to day financial / management accounting functions of group entities and ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly results. Other responsibilities include:
Delivering timely& accurate monthly financial reports
General ledger reconciliations and variance analysis
Preparation of BAS and FBT returns
Preparation of cash flow forecast and managing cash flow
Maintenance of fixed asset register
Preparation of schedules related to corporate tax
Payroll tax calculation
Implementing system improvements
Assisting with Annual budgeting process
Other ad-hoc accounting tasks as required
